The Story of GCHS Winterguard
Gallatin County High School Winterguard is a competitive performing arts ensemble that combines dance, movement, equipment performance, and visual storytelling. Members develop skills in teamwork, discipline, confidence, and creativity while representing both Gallatin County High School and the local community.
Participation is open to students in grades 8 through 12, providing opportunities for performers of all experience levels to grow and succeed both on and off the floor.
The Gallatin County High School Winterguard program began in the early 2010s under the leadership of Kathy Brown, a dedicated parent volunteer who helped establish the foundation of the organization.
Since its founding, the program has continued to grow and evolve, providing students with opportunities to develop performance skills, leadership abilities, and lifelong friendships through the arts.
GCHS Winterguard competes as a member of Tri-State Marching Arts, participating in competitions throughout the season alongside other scholastic programs from across the region.
Our performers are challenged to achieve excellence through dedication, teamwork, and a commitment to continual improvement.
The program currently serves approximately 12 members and continues to provide students with opportunities to grow as performers, teammates, and leaders.
Through rehearsals, performances, competitions, and community involvement, members represent Gallatin County High School with pride, integrity, and excellence.
